Notification requirement
Improve outcomes for mothers and babies
The Healthy Pregnancy Program has been shown to improve outcomes for both mothers and babies, resulting in increased birth weight and gestational age. Timely pregnancy notification maximizes the opportunity for the program to have a positive effect on the member and her pregnancy. This program is designed to be a resource for mothers and complement the care you provide. This is a notification program, rather than a precertification, preauthorization or medical necessity determination. Notification should occur at the first prenatal visit.
